D Blake Dallin

April 8, 1929 — May 2, 2018

Blake Dallin passed away peacefully on May 2, 2018 in Bountiful, Utah of causes incident to age. He was born April 8, 1929 in Provo, Utah to Amos Ervin Dallin and Maude Bleak. He married Leola Gittins on Oct. 17, 1952 in Salt Lake City.
Blake leaves a legacy of hard work, service, faith, and dedication to his family.  He served as a missionary in the Southern States after which he married the late Leola Gittins (2010).  Together they shared a life of devotion to each other, their family, and their faith.  He graduated from Brigham Young University in Civil Engineering and pursued a long and distinguished national and international engineering career with The Austin Company.  A point of pride was his post retirement work on the complex structural steel of the LDS Conference Center.  Blake and Leola resided in Utah, Ohio, California, and Washington.
Blake was always known as a devoted friend wherever he lived.  His many and diverse interests and hobbies enriched the lives of his family and friends.  His lifetime of devoted service has lifted the burdens of many and serves as a lasting legacy and example to his loving family.
Blake is survived by his three sons and families, Lynn (Shannon) Ashburn, Virginia; Rodney (Robyn) Bountiful, Utah; and Bruce (AnnMarie) American Fork, Utah, and 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, his brothers Dean Dallin, Melvin Dallin and their extended families; and many dear friends.  Preceded in death by his parents, a brother Amos Bernell Dallin, and a sister Belva Dallin Peterson.
