Curtis A. Thun

Curtis A. Thun passed away on March 25, 2019, in Orem, UT of medical problems. He was born on June 1, 1939, in Salt Lake City, UT, to Helmut Otto Gotlieb Thun and Jenny VanOtten, the fourth of seven children. Curtis was raised in Midvale, graduating from Jordan High School in 1958. He was a member of the Utah National Guard. Curtis was employed with Deseret Industries for a number of years. He enjoyed traveling whenever he could and also worked at the Yellowstone and Yosemite National Parks for about 4 years. He was a music lover and loved to attend all type of concerts. He was a collector of many types of items throughout his life. Curtis enjoyed his nephews and nieces and also their pets. He loved going for rides in the outdoors. Buffets were a special attraction for him, especially Chuck-A-Rama. Curtis was very mild mannered and a casual person. He was very personable and had a beautiful smile. He lived with his mother most of his life, who was his best friend and confidante, until she passed away in 1998.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers- Bob and Dick, and sister Bonnie. He is survived by three brothers- David, Allen, and Dee.
