Craig Turner

Our dear husband, father, and grandfather Craig William Turner passed away at the age of 72 on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah after a courageous fight with many medical conditions. We are so grateful that he died surrounded by loved ones.
Craig was born on October 9, 1948 in St. Anthony, Idaho. He grew up helping out on his grandparent’s farm. He loved that farm and the farm life. This is where his love of the outdoors began. He continued to enjoy camping, fishing, snow skiing, and water skiing. He loved to explore and travel with his wife and family. When he couldn’t travel he could always be found enjoying the sunshine and the patio with his wife.
He had a passion for woodworking and took pleasure creating projects and sharing them with others. He also enjoyed using his skills to remodel his home.
Craig spent a lifetime being a hard worker on the farm, as a missionary, and in his chosen career where he worked for 35 years as a valve technician for E-systems/Raytheon/Moog.
Craig was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served well in many callings. He was proud of his strong pioneer heritage. He married his sweetheart Nancy in the Salt Lake Temple and they were married for 47 years. Craig is also survived by a son, Justin Craig Turner (Jaci), and 2 daughters Heidi Turner and Heather Turner. He also left behind his most precious grandchildren Brooklyn, Kinzi, Easton, and Beckett.
He is preceded in death by his parents Colleen and William N. Turner and his grandson Brayden Craig Turner.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 6:00- 7:30 pm at the Herriman Utah Anthem Stake Center on 12352 S. Big Bend Vista Drive Herriman, Utah 84096.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 6 at 11:00 am at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery at 3115 E. Bengal Blvd.Cottonwood Heights, Utah.Service Information
