Cornelius John Van Beekum

C.J. Van Beekum passed away peacefully in his sleep to return home to his Heavenly Father and be reunited with his loving wife on December 28th, 2017.
Dad was an energetic and active person all of his life.  He served a mission in the Netherlands right after World War II.  A few years after he returned from his mission, he married his sweetheart, Elisabeth VanderToolen on June 1, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple.  They spent  forty-six wonderful years together.
CJ was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed many outings with his family.  He loved the outdoors: hunting , fishing , boating, and waterskiing.
He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings in his ward.
The family would like to thank all the care givers and staff for the kind and compassionate service they gave to Dad.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, January  5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mueller Park 5th  Ward,
1320 East 1975 So, Bountiful, Utah.
Friends and Family are invited to visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the ward.
Interment at Memorial Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 E Lakeview Dr, Bountiful.
