In Loving Memory Corinne Joan Jacobsen 1939 – 2019, our dear mother and grandmother, age 79, died unexpectedly from complications during a minor surgery on May 29, 2019, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Corinne is survived by her loving husband Dee and her four children; Karen, Kristin, David John, and Robert Eric Ellefsen.
Corinne was born June 15, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah on the kitchen table to her parents LaVere Tippets Bell and Marie Julie Racine. She was a beautiful and shy child who enjoyed playing with her dolls and taking care of animals.
Corinne was married to her first husband Ernest John Ellefsen in 1957 and they were blessed with four children. She married her current husband DeVere F Jacobson on January 10, 1985 and was sealed in the Temple in 2017.
Corinne was known for her love of dancing, puzzles, and dollhouses. She enjoyed her housework and kept a spotless home. She was an excellent seamstress and made many advent calendars and Christmas tree skirts. As a consummate reader, she was always reading. She read her scriptures daily and developed a strong testimony of the Gospel. She wrote prior to her passing “I am truly one of (the) children of Heavenly Father. That He knows me personally & loves me individually”. As she returns to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father and those who have gone on before her, she will be greatly missed.
The viewing will be held Thursday June 6th, 2019 from 6-7:30 pm. and Friday June 7th from 10-10:45 am. The Funeral is scheduled for 11 am on June 7, 2019. Both the viewing and the funeral will be held at their LDS chapel at 3650 W. 4400 S. West Valley City, Utah. To be laid to rest next to her loving mother at Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery at 10055 S. State St., Sandy, UT 84010.Service Information
