Corinne Florence Muniz, age 97, passed away on November 12, 2021 in Riverton, Utah. She was born on June 20, 1924 in Bingham, Utah to Faustin Casias and Elvira Trujillo Casias. She married Pedro Muniz on August 8, 1964.
Corinne was a collector of antiques and beautiful jewelry. She enjoyed frequenting estate sales, antique shops, and jewelers to admire and collect items that she loved. She was an avid reader and enjoyed just about any book she could get her hands on, from history to fiction and everything in between. She loved to travel, especially with her sister and children. She enjoyed talking about her family history and up to her passing could reflect on and share stories of her childhood and life. Corinne loved her grandchildren, she enjoyed speaking to them in Spanish and spending time with them when she could.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Velasquez; daughter, Diane Duran; son, Richard Velasquez; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her brother, Felix; and her sister, Sylvia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Muniz; sons, Robert (Pancho) Velasquez, and Timothy Muniz; parents, Faustin and Elvira Casias; and many sisters and brothers whom she loved deeply.
Services for Corinne will be held Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary located at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
