Constance Shelton Berrett

Riverton, UT – Constance Shelton Berrett, 89, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Murray, UT to John Edwin and Clem Shelton. Connie graduated from Jordan High School in 1954. She was a master gardener, surrounding her home with beautiful flowers and trees. She loved music, old movies and all things Chocolate.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Connie had a strong testimony and love for the Savior. Throughout her life she served in many leadership and teaching positions in the Women and Youth organizations of the church.

She married her High School sweetheart, Golden Kimball Berrett in the Salt Lake Temple on October 29, 1953. Together they raised eight children. At the time of her passing they had been married 71 + years. Being a wife and mother was Connie’s greatest joy and she treasured her posterity.

She is survived by her husband, Golden Kimball Berrett, daughter, Crystal Porter (James Lee), son, Golden Kraig Berrett (Cheryl), daughter, Cheryl Hermansen (David Nephi), daughter, Kimberly Dixon (Matthew James), son Kerry John Berrett, son Sheldon Kay Berrett, daughter, Kellie Banks, (Travis D), daughter, Karolee Berrett, foster son, Fernando Rubio Corona and sister Kathryn Hosman. Twenty-seven grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

She was preceeded in death by her father, John Edwin Shelton, mother, Clem Killian Shelton, brother, K. E. Shelton, sisters, Kelma Smart and Carma Jenson.

Join us in honoring this beautiful daughter of God, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. We love her dearly and she will be greatly missed.

Her family is grateful for all of the wonderful support that has been shown and given during this challenging time.

Viewing, Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 5-7PM and Monday 10-11AM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 14, 2025. All services will take place at the Riverton South Stake Center, 3113 W 13400 S, Riverton, UT, 84065. Interment: Memorial Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery, 3115 E 7800 S, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
