Connie Larine Bauer Thaller
”A true lady with style and grace”
1943 – 2015
Our beloved, loving, feisty, redheaded mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Connie Thaller passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 11th, 2015.
Connie was born on March 9th, 1943 to Edwin (Bud) and Ethel Watson Bauer in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended East High school and married her high school sweetheart Gerhard Thaller on August 30th, 1960. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Gerhard preceded her in death November 2011. They were married for 45 years.
Connie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed serving in many callings and especially in Primary and Young Womens. She loved her Father in Heaven and Savior.
Mom was a beautiful homemaker and wonderful cook. She found so much joy in hosting parties for her family and always set a perfect table. She spent many hours in her garden where she found great pleasure nurturing every bloom. Her garden was her happy place. Connie had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling including cruises and road trips to the red rocks of southern Utah all the way to the Valley of Fire.
Connie worked as a secretary for Granite Construction for 26 years and made many friends through her years of service.
Family meant everything to Connie and she was happiest when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and her 1st great–grandchild. She is survived by her loving children, Gary (Lisa), Cindy (Rondo) Poole, Guy (Heather). Grandchildren: Crystal (Adam) McMillan, Abigail, Samuel, Jacob, Jonathan and Nicholas Thaller. Great-Grandchild: Brooklyn McMillan.
She is also survived by her sisters Sharon Hilley, Pamela Finn and brother Russell Bauer along with many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Mom you are the heart and soul of our family. We will forever miss your tender love and influence in our lives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22nd, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Cobblecreek 6th Ward. 8150 S. Grizzly Way. (5420 West) West Jordan, UT. Prior to the service friends and family may visit from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
