Connie T. Robertson

September 23, 1939 — November 10, 2018

Connie, loving mother to Kim and Chad, adoring nan to Haleigh, Colby and Garrett, passed away on November 10, 2018 at the tender age of 79 due to the ravaging effects of Alzheimers.
Connie was born to Theodore Thomas and Christena Jensen Thomas on September 23rd, 1939 in the booming metropolis of Hiawatha, Carbon County, Utah. She was the youngest of the Thomas brood which included brothers Theodore (Ted), Elwood, and David and older sisters, Belle and Lavon.
Upon graduation from Carbon High School, Connie moved to Salt Lake City to pursue a degree in Cosmetology. Fortunately for Kim and Chad, she met a dashing young man in Leopard-print pants, the Mighty-Mite of Murray High School, Keith A. Robertson. Within a year, they had fallen in love and unbeknownst to their families, ran away to Elko, Nevada where they became man and wife on May, 10, 1958.
Our mom was a fun and loving mom. She helped us to achieve our goals by helping us with homework and she was always ready to give us a pep talk when needed. She loved to play games with us and she made sure that we did something fun every week. Her most important job was being a mom and nan. She loved to dance and listen to Motown music. She loved to garden. Her yard was always the prettiest yard in the neighborhood. Connie loved to go shopping and always looked like a million bucks. She was the original fashionista. She loved doing anything with her grandkids especially going to Disneyland. She also enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports, dance and sing. She was her grandkids greatest cheerleader. She could be goofy and silly at the most unexpected times. She was also very stubborn and she was a fighter. She fought hard to help my dad come back after he had a stroke and she also fought hard to stay with us after she started to lose her memory to Alzheimers. We will miss her loving smile always. We hope that her and my dad will be smiling down on us.
Connie is survived by her loving children, Kim Robertson DeBruyn (son-in-law Bill), son, Chad Robertson, and loving grandkids, Colby Robertson, Haleigh DeBruyn, and Garrett DeBruyn.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Keith A. Robertson, her three brothers, eldest sister Belle, and parents Theodore and Christena.
