Connie Rae Hofeling

June 13, 1935 — June 8, 2022

On a new adventure in a new chapter
Connie Rae Hofeling, 86 passed away June 8th 20.22 at home with her son and daughter at her side.
She was born June 13th 1935 in SLC Utah to Leonard Thomas Backus and Thelma Oleta Foster.
She married her sweetheart Dale R Hofeling at the age of 16 and he was 19. On Nov 23rd 1951 they had their first child Ray three years later. She didn’t think she could have anymore children, but after seven years her prayers were answered with their daughter Deeann.
They were sealed for time and eternity in the Jordan river temple on Aug 21st 2007. Now they are together again.
She had many hobbies, she liked to draw, clean house And she loved reading. She made the best potato salad and baked beans. She could make an entire meal out of a single can of spam!
She worked in the kitchen and lunchroom at granger high and Thomas Jefferson JR high. She loved working with all the children.
She loved spending time fishing, hunting and camping with her sweetheart Dale.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is so loved and will be missed beyond words.
The last 6 years served in the primary and relief society in the church of Jesus Christ and latter day saints.
She is survived by her son Ray (Michelle) Hofeling, Daughter Deeann (Ed) Behunin: 12 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, two sisters Gloria Simons, Carolee (Barry) Skinner and one brother Brent (Della) Backus and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her sweetheart Dale R Hofeling and her parents Leonard and Thelma Backus.
The Family would like to thank her sweet and dear friend Loyce Lutte for her 59 years of friendship and dedication. The family would also like to thank hospice and a special thank you to Yvonne Mackenzie and Gail Lopez, for their kindness to their mother.
A Graveside service will be held at Memorial Redwood at 11:00 Am.
We will be going Dutch to Chuck a Rama at fashion place mall after the service, for those that would like to join us.
