Connie Nattress Larrabee

August 21, 1934 — August 19, 2021

Connie Nattress Larrabee, born August 21, 1934, passed away peacefully with her husband at her side on August 19, 2021. A life-long Salt Lake County resident, Connie graduated from South High School in 1952.
On May 8, 1969, Connie married Richard Larrabee. Together, they built a loving partnership that gave life to years filled with laughter, extensive world travel, financial success, and personal fulfillment.
Charged with family responsibilities from a very young age, Connie was a fiercely proud and protective champion of her family and her children. A person would cross Connie – or one of her own – at their own peril.
Connie gave freely of her time to support her children and her community by volunteering in the classroom and with other organizations. After her children were grown, Connie relished working outside the home for many happy years with Salt Lake County Parks & Recreation, organizing sporting events and tournaments across the Wasatch Front.
Connie was quick of wit and had a delightfully wicked sense of humor. She was an avid reader, always looking for a good murder mystery. In later years, her daily reading included the obituaries section of the Salt Lake Tribune “just to make sure that [she] still wasn’t in there” and to tell stories of friends that had passed. Her true self until the end, she has finally made the paper.
We love and will miss you, Mom.
Connie is survived by her adoring husband Richard and by their children, including Wayne Lemmons (Peggy), Gary Lemmons (Lorie), Mike Larrabee Wason (Vicky), Matt Larrabee (Paige), and Jon Larrabee (Paige), and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Kathie Johnson and her parents.
Per Connie’s wishes, her cremated remains will be interred at Memorial Redwood Cemetery with no public commemoration ceremony. Donations on her behalf can be made to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund https://curealz.org/outreach/in-memory/connie-larrabee/. If you wish to honor Connie’s memory with a donation of your time, we ask that you visit and reminisce with Richard at Carrington Court in South Jordan, where he currently resides.
