Colleen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 4, 1937, to Calthrope and Vera Farrington.
She passed into her eternal life and back into her husband’s arms on January 18, 2025, with her family by her side.
Colleen married Leon Everett Oliver on March 14, 1959, in Elko, Nevada, and later solemnized at the Salt Lake Temple.
Colleen loved everything about genealogy, you could always find her in the home office working hard. She also enjoyed traveling, camping, art and crafts of all kinds, rock hounding, and playing Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause with Leon. She also loved her time spent working at the South Jordan Temple where she made lot of lifelong friendships.
She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Wife, and a dear friend to many.
Colleen is preceded in death by husband Leon Everett Oliver, daughter Darcy Lynne, stepdaughter Ruth Ann Smallwood of Oklahoma, sister Claudia Farrington Reed, and brother James Farrington.
She is survived by her sons John Oliver, Barry (Balinda) Oliver, grandchildren Levi (Charlee) Oliver, Bryan Oliver, Chase Oliver, Lauren Oliver, Candy Reyes, and Andrew Woodard. stepdaughters JoAn Elkins (Ron), Linda Jones (Jerry) of Oklahoma. sisters Jeannine (Laurie) Farrington, Dana Dee (John) Stahl, Rhonda "Bitzie" Smith, Deanna Wentworth, Kay (Larry) Shubert and Brother Rodger Chapman. Many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. You may visit with the family at a viewing prior to service from 10:00 to 10:45 AM.
