Colby Reyes

Colby Joseph Reyes – 26: Died on June 17, 2016 in Millcreek, Utah. He was born on December 1, 1989 in Sandy, Utah to Toni Kay Johnston (Reyes) and Armondo Reyes. Beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. Colby Joe was a spirit that wanted to be free and struggled every day to unconfine himself from his own mind. Despite the battle he fought with himself, with others he was compassionate, peaceful, extremely giving and tenderhearted. Colby was a wanted companion by all and the most welcome and anticipated guest at his niece and nephew’s parties. Forever loved and never gone from our hearts, his demons are finally silenced. Survived by his father, Armondo Reyes; brothers, Chad, Eric, Brett and Andrew Reyes; grandmothers, Ofelia Reyes & Mary Johnston; niece, Aspen Reyes; and nephew, Talon Reyes. Preceded in death by his mother, Toni Johnston; and both grandfathers, Carroll Johnston and Jose Reyes.
 
A viewing and Rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 22, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with the Rosary beginning at 7:00pm. A second viewing will be held on Thursday, June 23, from 9:00am to 11:00am, with funeral services beginning directly after. All services will take place at the Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 E. Bengal Blvd (7800 S.) in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Following the services, at 4:00pm on Thursday, close friends and family are invited to help celebrate Colby’s life at his father’s home in Midvale (address will be provided at the services).
