After a five year struggle with dementia, Clyde Egbert peacefully left this earth in the early morning hours of July 31, 2018 while at home. He was born to James Daniel and Elsie (Carson) Egbert in Idaho Falls, Idaho on March 20, 1937. He had 16 brothers and sisters, most whom have preceded him in death. Although Clyde was born first, his twin sister, Clyta Egbert Bee, led the way at the end of their life and passed away a few months ago in April. He is survived by his wife Shawna and two children; Penny Egbert Bivens and Eddie Egbert (Jennifer), seven grandchildren (Anthony, Joshua, Greg, Kyla, Tyler, Keaton and Sadie) and his beloved pets Muffy and Missy. He was a Millwright at Kennecott Utah Copper and retired in 1999 after 31 years of service. He built a swimming pool in the backyard, which provided hours of entertainment and many memories as he welcomed everyone to swim. He had a dry sense of humor which he shared with those around him until his very last day. Clyde was a wonderful husband, father, uncle, son and all around great guy; he loved his family with everything he had. We all miss him dearly.
A joint memorial service will be held for Clyde and Clyta on Friday, August 24 from 10 -11 am at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.
