Clearn A. Jensen passed away peacefully in his sleep, on the night of Jan. 23, 2017 at the age of 92. Born to Charlesta “Lesty” Mickelsen and John A. Jensen on Feb. 21, 1924 in Redmond, UT.
Clearn grew up in Redmond. He enjoyed going horseback riding, hunting, fishing and had many adventures with his family in the mountains around the area. Clearn was in the Navy during World War II, where he traveled around the globe twice. While on leave in Richfield, UT. He met his wife of 72 years Lou Ella Washburn. While living in Redmond they had three children and decided to move to Salt Lake City.
Clearn was a hard worker on the job, fixing the Golden Gate Bridge or Hoover Dam, at home, the cabin or on any project he could find. He was also a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and was loved by all who knew him.
Clearn leaves a legacy with his family, his wife Lou Ella, their children Connie (Byron) Nielsen, Jeff (Carol) Jensen, Judy Beckstrom, 7 grandchildren; Michael (Debbie) Broussard, Jeffrey Mathew (Vicky) Jensen, Cammie (Ryan) Doyle, Robert (Deirdre) Meske, Krista (Greg) Butcher, Jacob (Jess) Beckstrom, Tyler Hatch, 6 stepchildren, Lisa Jackman (Jason), John Lindsley (Jenny), Joe Lindsley (Aimee); Boyd, Barry, Barbi Nielsen, 10 great grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren. Clearn is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Deloss, Parry, Arland, and his sister Alean (Jensen) Harward.
The funeral will be held February 01, 2017 at 10:00 am at Redwood Memorial Mortuary and Cemetery: 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan Utah 84123. A viewing will be held Tuesday, January 31st, 2017 from 6:00-8:00PM and also one hour prior to the funeral at the Mortuary.
