Clayton Gregory Loosle, age 30, passed away July 14, 2020 in Sandy, Utah. Clayton was born December 31, 1989 in Sandy to Brent Marvin Loosle & Joan Abercrombie Loosle. He grew up in Sandy in a loving family of eight children. He’s a peacemaker & verbally and in writing has a goal to help others and improve the life of others. He enjoyed soccer, baseball, basketball, camping, hiking, music, and spending time with friends. He liked growing up with scouting & felt honored to serve as senior patrol leader.  He enjoyed the outdoors & nature and looking at the night sky to spot meteors & he witnessed more than one that broke into multiple trails. He attended the University of Utah. Clayton developed profound discussions and writings to share his thoughts.  He wrote poems, songs, music, short stories and physics/science articles. Clayton said he enjoyed determining truth and right using a reasonable combination of logic, academic learning, science and especially divine inspiration. He was known for his kindness, humor & being a negotiator and mediator. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and especially loves service projects, strengthening family and teaching priesthood and Sunday school classes. Clayton is survived by his parents, siblings, Amber (Tyler Hommes), Kyle, Shaylyn, Cody, Kelsey & Ashlee and grandparents, Patty Loosle, Gloria & John Daniels, many uncles, aunts & cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Blake, grandparents, Marvin W. Loosle, Ralph & Jean Abercrombie, Reg Cross & uncle, Gary Daniels.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 23 at 11:00 am at Silvercrest Ward Chapel (Canyon View Stake Center), 9119 S. 1300 East, Sandy, Utah with Bishop Craig Bickmore officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening, July 22, from 6 to 8 pm at the church and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 am at the church prior to funeral service and family prayer. Dedication service & interment will follow the funeral at the Mountain View Memorial Estates near Little Cottonwood Canyon. Clayton, we sincerely love you & miss you and are so grateful for having you in our life and experiencing your personality, kindness and affection. ‘Till we meet again.
