Clavon A. Rugg

In loving memory, Clavon A. Rugg, our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away suddenly during the early morning hours of November 28, 2019, surrounded by his family. Clavon was born on March 11, 1940 to Alvin Clavon and Reta Rugg in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Sharon Deveraux November 14, 1959, and later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were parents of Cindy Lee (Mike), Karen Sue (Scott), Marcus Clavon (Mary), Grant Ray (Sandy), and Michael Jon (Kariann).
Clavon was a loving grandfather of 24 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved being a heavy equipment operator and was very proud that he owned two successful businesses in his lifetime – a landscape business and a trucking company.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM with a viewing held two hours prior at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Interment to follow at the same location.
Clavon will be missed by all who loved him.
