Clark Stephenson Kenney

A kind and gentle man passed away on January 30, 2016. Clark Stephenson Kenney was born June 29, 1955 to Mont and Margaret Ericksen Kenney, graduated from Highland High School and attended Snow College. In 1980 he married Gaylene Demetter in the Salt Lake Temple. For thirty years Clark was a reliable and hardworking employee at Intermountain Heath Care. Recently retired, at the time of his death he was a volunteer at the LDS Bishop Storehouse in Magna.
Gregarious by nature, Clark was notoriously cheerful, with an infectious laugh and irrepressible sense of humor. He will always be remembered as a loving, nurturing husband and father. He loved serving as an Assistant Cub Master and in other Scouting positions periodically during his life. Clark loved golfing, bowling, and swimming. He took a special interest in people and being of service to them. He enjoyed all types of entertainment, drama, and acting.
Preceded in death by his parents. Clark is survived by his wife Gaylene; children Sheila, Daniel (Kimberly), Christopher, and Heidi; grandsons Tegan and Bryson; siblings Scott (Susan), Bruce (Jimae) Kenney, and Ann (Brian) Fielden; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Our family expresses their thanks to family friend James Marks for his insight and support.
Friends and family may visit Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville, Utah from 6-8:00 pm, Wednesday, February 3, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 4, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bennion 4th Ward Chapel, 6250 South 2200 West, Taylorsville, Utah, with a viewing one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, Clark would appreciate donations to a charity that supports the homeless or others in need.
