He married Patricia Johnson in the Manti Temple on July 11, 1962.  They had 6 children: Mark (Steph, daughter-Viktoria), Dale (deceased) (Janelle, children-Sam, Kirsten, Greg, Scott and Maren), Steve (Shelly, children-Ashley, Hannah, Brie Anna, Mavany, Savannah), Karen Atkin (Gordon, children-Tanner, Claire, Sophie), Craig (Robyn, children-Wyatt, Nolan) and Chad (deceased).
Clarence was always very active in the LDS Church.  He was also a very avid scouter.  He and his wife both earned their Silver Beaver Award, which represents 35 years of service in the scouting program.  All of his sons earned their Eagle Scout, and Clarence with his sons attended several National Scout Jamborees.  He also enjoyed hunting and camping.  One of his most memorable hunting trips was to Alaska in 1961.
Clarence and Pat were ordinance workers in the Jordan River Temple for 6 ½ years before serving missions in Knoxville, Tennessee and Nauvoo, Illinois.  When they returned home they served another 2 missions in the Salt Lake Humanitarian Center.
His favorite hobby was woodworking.  He loved making toys, especially for his grandkids.  He was always working on some sort of a woodworking project.
His funeral services will be on Thursday, April 20th at 12:00 pm at the Morningside Ward Chapel (1555 West Lovely Rd) in Taylorsville.  There will be a viewing at 10:00 am.  He will be buried at Memorial Estates Cemetery on Redwood Road.
Clarence leaves behind a great legacy.  He was a good man, and the world is a better place for having him in it.  He will not be forgotten.
