Clarence Girard Sorensen, “Clair”, age 62, died on May 7, 2021, in his home in Millcreek,
Utah. He was born September 18, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Calvin Otto Sorensen and
Colleen Andersen Sorensen. He is survived by his wife Kay, children, Maranda (Tyson),
Kelvin (Dottie), Tiffini (Omar), and Preston; his first wife, Carrie, and second wife, Robyn; his
siblings, Carol, Dennis, Carl, and James. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his
parents.
Clair was a true people person and would strike up a conversation with anybody and
become instant friends. He had a talent for remembering people and their names. He
couldn’t say no and always wanted to help everyone when he could. He enjoyed a good
party but never needed to be the center of attention. He was intelligent, quick-witted, and
humorous. He always had a joke up his sleeve. Clair had a perfect Donald Duck imitation
that would bring a smile to anyone, especially his grandkids. He loved his family’s Utah
history and had a soft spot for the mountains in Spring City. He was a dedicated and hard
worker for the family business, Hyland Heating, and truly enjoyed those he worked with.
He wished to be cremated and his remains buried with his parents. Graveside services to
be announced. Clair will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 3:00 PM at 4163 South Falcon Street West Valley City, UT 84120.
