Gene was born to Clarence and Leatha Seyboldt in Salt Lake City, UT on February 13, 1936.
Gene served in the Navy as a diesel engineer, while he was serving his country he married the love of his life Patricia Parker.
Gene left the Navy after 2 years due to the death of his father and he went to work for the family company Clair optical.
Gene had different optical jobs throughout his career; from doing outside sales for different opticals to running Intermountain Eyewear. He retired from his business delivering eyeglasses and contacts for labs around Northern Utah and left it to his daughter Vikki.
Gene was a member of the Elks Lodge, he met great friends while being a member. Gene spent many summers with these friends and his family on the lake boating and camping. When Gene retired he loved nothing more than going to estate sales on the weekends and spending his winters in Yuma where he could golf all year long. Gene will be missed by all that knew him.
Gene is survived by his wife Pat, his children Vikki (Mark) Murray, Kory Seyboldt, Wendy Seyboldt. His 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and his fur grandbabies.
Gene was preceded in death by his Parents Clarence and Leatha Seyboldt, his brothers Fred and Deb Seyboldt and his dog Sassy.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
