Cindy Hansen Christensen
March 25, 1965 — September 18, 2020
Cindy Hansen Christensen passed away peacefully in the night on September 18, 2020 at the age of 55. She is survived by her three children Eric (26), Ian (24) and Brooke (22); her siblings Dave Hansen, Steve Hansen, and Karlene Farley; her father and stepmother Gordon and Anita Hansen and her mother Joyce Miller.
Cindy was born in Murray, Utah on March 25, 1965. When she was nine the family moved down to Tucson, AZ where she attended elementary, middle and high school. She moved back to Northern Utah during her senior year and graduated from Skyview High School in 1983. In 1988 she served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Puerto Rico. She was married to Todd Christensen for 13 years and had her three wonderful children while living in Salt Lake. Cindy served several roles in the Church, including Relief Society President and Primary President.
For the last few years Cindy worked at a Wendy’s near Syracuse High School where her deep love for people had a large impact on the local community. She was even recognized in a full assembly at the high school for being so kind to everyone. A video of the event can be found here: https://youtu.be/1GAZo3xA7Wg
Her joys in life are her children, doing temple work and volunteering for the Church in many other ways. One of her biggest joys in life was truly caring about every person she meets. Cindy will be greatly missed by her family and hundreds of other people who she has made a meaningful impact on through her life.
