Christine Egbert-Hunt left us at 62 years of age in her home on December 11th, 2021, in SLC, UT. Chris was born at Cottonwood Hospital in Murray Utah on April 15th, 1959, to Gail Donald Egbert and Myrtle LaWen Allsop-Egbert. Chris loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved the outdoors, camping, and vacationing. She especially enjoyed going camping with her husband and children. Camping with Chris was one of Angie, and Kody’s (daughter and son) most cherished memories with her. Chris had a taste for exploring ports unknown. One of the most adored memories shared among all four of her children is how excited Chris would get on Christmas morning. With childlike enthusiasm, she would wake her children at four in the morning to show them Santa Clause had come and left presents for all of them! Chris loved Christmas as much as anyone ever has.
Chris was so very kind to all she met and was loved by all who knew her. She was an extraordinary individual who possessed unconditional love and will be missed by everyone in her life. On November 24, 2010, Chris met the love of her life, Randy Hunt. The connection was instant, and they truly fell in love at first sight. Chris and Randy eloped in Las Vegas, where Chris’s best friend for life Valerie, had the privilege of walking her down the aisle.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents Gail and LaWen Egbert, sisters Lynette, and Michelle. Chris is survived by her 4 children, Mandy McCready (Chris), Angie Harward (Sam Southworth), Kazie Swain (Justin), Kody McDonald, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and husband Randy Hunt.
“Afterglow” – I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one. I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the way of happy times, laughter, bright, and sunny days. I’d like the tears whom grieve to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
A private family viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2021, from 5:30 – 6:00 PM. A memorial for friends and family will then be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 6-7 PM at Memorial Murray Mortuary, at 5850 S 900 E Murray Utah 84121. Following everyone saying their goodbye’s, Chris’s ashes will be lovingly, and privately spread at a later date by her children, and husband at a place close to Chris’s heart.
