Christine Brown

May 22, 1956 — July 14, 2014

Christine Elizabeth Brown, 58, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She has a great love for life and an ability to sustain enduring challenges for long periods of time. Born in Pittsburg, PA to Charles Frederick Parry and Nancy Josephine Wolber, she is the first of five children; Carolyn (Kevin), Charlie (Kathy), Curt (Shawna) and Cliff (Stephanie). Christine graduated salutatorian from Lennox High School, Lennox, CA. She attended Rick’s College one year before transferring to Brigham Young University, where she majored in Clothing and Textiles. She served in the Germany Duesseldorf Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Early in marriage, she attended the University of Utah graduating in Elementary Education. She taught pre-school children for 20 years, challenging young, inquisitive minds ages of 3 to 5. Christine’s patriarchal blessing states: “Thou knew many of the choice and noble spirits before thou came into mortality . . . Thou shall be closely associated with some of them for they shall come into thy home”.
Christine is mostly known for her soft, quiet voice and character traits. Tender to the touch, she embraces others with caring and warm-loving affection for the love that she expresses for others, especially her husband (Weiler), five children (Oliver, Cameron, Nicholas, Abigail and Spencer), two daughters-in-law (Annie and Laura) and six beautiful grandchildren (Dillon, McKinley, Tanner, Treagon, Madison, and Beckham).
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM with a viewing one hour prior to services at the Glenmoor Stake Center, 4881 West Cindy Lane (9610 South) and on Friday 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
