Chris L. Clawson

Chris age 38 was welcomed home into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 2, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on June 13, 1978 in Salt Lake City, UT. Chris married the love of his life, Brandy Shay, on April 20, 2002. He loved spending time with his kids, riding his motorcycle, working on vehicles, and helping his father in law refurbish pool tables. He loved his grandmother so much that he spent a lot of time with her and would help anyone in need. He also loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed his adventures with just him and his wife. Chris touched the lives of a lot of people. He will be missed for his loving heart.
He is survived by his wife, Brandy, children, Lillie, Colby, Shaylee, and Tyson. His mother, Diana, father, Matt (Shirley), siblings, Danielle (Rick), Cody (Amber), and Kaitlyn. His father and mother in law, Frank and Peggy Shay, siblings, Chris (Addy), Wayne (Alisha), Hilary (Ryan), numerous nieces and nephews, and his loving grandmother, Loralee.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Elwood Dutson, and stepdaughter, Dakota.
A viewing will be held on Friday, January 6 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7 at 1:00 PM at 3730 W. 6200 S. Taylorsville, UT with a viewing 1 hour prior. Interment services to follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and caregivers at The Huntsman Center. Also a special thanks to the hospice nurses and doctors that assisted in the last week.
