Cheryl Perkins passed away October 12, 2024 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She was born September 19, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carlo Milton Perkins and Connie Lou Warren Perkins.

 Cheryl was always fun and full of life and a classmate recalls her always being picked first in baseball by the boys because she could hit the ball farther than anyone. Cheryl graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1973 and received her diploma from the Vice Principal while hospitalized. Cheryl served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Atlanta, Georgia. After returning from her mission, she moved to Parma, Ohio to become the manager of Orange Julius. Cheryl retired after a successful 20-year career in Law Enforcement. She was the first female corrections officer to work on Death Row at the Utah State Prison.

Cheryl married Steven Craig Alvord in 1988 and later divorced.

After retiring, Cheryl spent many years battling physical and mental issues. She will be greatly missed by all and we know she is no longer suffering.

She is preceded in death by Carlo Milton Perkins, Father; Connie Lou Warren Perkins, Mother; Curtis Lee Perkins, Brother.

She is survived by Robert Scott (Paula) Perkins; Richard Warren (Wendi) Perkins; Kelly Lloyd Perkins; 12 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Memorial Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Holladay, Utah.

Graveside Services at 11:00 a.m., prior to Interment, Memorial Holladay Cemetery, 4900 South Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah.

Pallbearers: Robert Scott Perkins, Richard Warren Perkins

Honorary Pallbearers: Brittney Mitko, Ashley Hall, Darby Perkins, Trevor Perkins, Davin Perkins, Emily Talley, Becca Summers, Spencer Perkins, Zachary Perkins and Katie Perkins.
