Cheri Lynn Kelly

Cheri Lynn Kelly, 63, was born on October 10th, 1952 in Tucson, Arizona and passed on
February 17th, 2016, more than 16 years after receiving a diagnosis of a football sized clear cell
carcinoma and a prognosis of life termination in 2 weeks. She was the daughter of Robert Lee
Kelly and Mary Louise Thomas. She was preceded in death by sister Christina Franklin, brother
Fred Rieger, was the devoted mother of Alecia Hagan, and leaves brother Rick (Graciela)
Rieger, sister Rose Rieger, sister Reva Fain, brother Ed (Colleen) Rieger, and sister Raymona
Thomas, and sister in law Norma Collins.
Cheri graduated from West High School in 1970 and went on to graduate from The
Salvation Army College for Officer Training. She was a kind and generous soul who loved
attending church at Jordan Presbyterian. She also enjoyed spending time with her daughter
Alecia, sharing all of the latest gossip with her dialysis friends, and generally making everyone
around her feel loved and cared for. She was selfless, strong willed, and a cheerful spirit. She
will be missed.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for donations toward funeral expenses and
donations are requested in lieu of flowers for out of state friends and family.
