Cheri Dawn Stark Luke (62) passed away on October 25, 2022 in her home in West Valley City, Utah.
She was born on November 14, 1959 in Murray, Utah to Mona Fife and George Byron Stark.
She married Kyle Luke on April 14, 1993.
Cheri enjoyed many things in life, however the thing that brought her the most joy was her son, Martin. Cheri always made Martin a priority and let him know he was the most important person in her life. She doted on him and made sure he always knew how much he was loved. They enjoyed spending time together, whether it was playing bingo, going on picnics, or eventually sending emails as he grew into adulthood. Martin was the joy of her life.
Another relationship that brought joy to Cheri was the one with her husband Kyle. Cheri was married to Kyle for 31 years. She loved Kyle and looked to him for support in all aspects of life. Kyle supported and loved Cheri and he will miss her deeply. The two enjoyed going on long scenic drive together taking in nature and searching for wildlife. They loved to take pictures of the beautiful Utah landscapes, especially the fall leaves. One of their favorite date weekends was riding the Heber Creeper and staying the weekend, dancing together, and making memories. Kyle was the love of her life.
In addition to the joy of her son and her husband, Cheri had five siblings she enjoyed spending time with. Other things that made Cheri happy were cozying up in bed with inspirational books, going dancing with her girlfriends, roller skating, and listening to music like Queen, David Bowie, Michael Jackson and Madonna. Cheri enjoyed life to the fullest.
Cheri is survived in death by her son, Martin Speters, husband Kyle Luke, nephew Jeremy Stark and siblings, Robyn Lynne Stark Knowley, Tawnya Wooley Chapman, Michelle Cheri Stark, Hollie Stark, Codie Stark Jones and Peter Gregory Stark. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mona Fife and father George Byron Stark.
Funeral services will be held on November 3, 2022 at 11:00 am at Memorial Murray Mortuary 5850 S 900 E Murray UT 84121. Interment will be at November 3, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Murray City Cemetery.Service Information
