Charles Udell Mackie 81, born July 11, 1935 to Charles and Afton Mackie, peacefully left this life to meet his eternal companion Joan on January 16, 2017. Chuck and Joan were married May 3, 1954, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 24, 1964.
Chuck served in the Army during the Korean War.
Chuck was a passionate man who loved to fish, hunt and spend time in the outdoors. Chuck was a talented woodworker and created many beautiful pieces that will be cherished by his family and friends. Chuck was awarded many blue ribbons for his woodwork.
Chuck loved the Lord and loved his family. Chuck is survived by daughter Debbie Bell, son Rodney (Kathy) Mackie, daughter Kory (Guy) Snyder, son Anthony Mackie and daughter Stephanie (Larry) Hall also twenty-five grandchildren and forty-three great-grandchildren and brothers LaVere, Jerry and Kevin. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan, parents, sister Beverly, brother John, son-in-law John Bell and daughter-in-law Charon.

Viewing will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, on Friday, January 20th. Funeral services for Chuck will be at the West Jordan 43rd Ward, 6695 South 2200 West, West Jordan, on Saturday, January 21st from 11:00 to 12:00 noon; with an additional viewing prior to funeral from 10:00 to 10:45 AM.
