Charles Louis Yeyna, 93 years old, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully of complications due to age on February 24, 2016. Chuck was born on October 3, 1922 to Watsyl and Sophia Yeyna near Rochester, New York. He spent his early years in upper New York and attended the University of the State of New York. Chuck later served in the Army as a surgical technician in World War II. He was also a capable handyman and enjoyed fixing and building various projects. For the past 50 years, he lived in the Sugarhouse Area and loved to walk the streets there and visit the various businesses. Chuck enjoyed the outdoors and would frequently go camping and hiking in the Uintah Mountains with his trusty dogs Lucy and Streaker. He will be missed by many many friends. A special thanks to the many doctors and nurses at both the V.A. and the Holladay Healthcare facility. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016, Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale at Noon.Service Information
