Charles Jackson

July 8, 1938 — December 28, 2015

Charles Gary Jackson left this world on Monday, December 28, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was 77.
Gary was born July 8, 1938 in Murray, UT to Robert and Farol Jackson. Gary graduated from Granite High School in 1957, attended Utah State University and the University of Utah, and served his country in the United States Army.  Gary married the love of his life Linda Booth on December 29, 1967 and they were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on June 15, 1978.  In 1973 Gary and Linda made their home in Riverton, UT where they raised 6 daughters and have lived happily for 42 years.
Gary was always known as a hard worker with an unending work ethic and could always be found working in his garden, or tinkering on a project. Gary loved the Savior and was active in the LDS Church where he served in many callings and as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple.  Gary loved the outdoors especially spending time hunting, fishing and dreaming about what was over that next ridge.
Gary is survived by his wife Linda, daughters Heidi Stephens, CoyLynn Barrett (Dennis), Leslie Bell (Rich), Brittani Naylor (Drew), and Amy King (Adam), brother Dave Jackson (Karen), 23 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by brothers Bob, Duane, Howard, his sister Shirley, and daughter Jill Robinson.
A viewing will be held Sunday January 3, 2016 where friends and family may come from 6:00-8:00 PM and Monday January 4th from 10:00-11:00 AM.  Funeral services will be held Monday January 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM.  The viewing and funeral will be held at 12154 South 3600 West Riverton, UT with internment to follow at Memorial Estates 6500 South Redwood Road West Jordan, UT.
