Charles Bishop

Charles Edward Bishop was born on September 8, 1921 and passed away on Monday, April 6th, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born in Corbin, Kentucky to Oscar Bishop and Rhoda Gay. In 1938, Charles joined the Marine Reserves and at the outbreak of World War II, he served with the Marine Corps in the Pacific campaign. He was in the Marine Corps until 1947. He married Doris Mae Scheihing in 1953 and moved to Salt Lake City. Charles loved the outdoors and especially loved fishing and family trips in the RV.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Doris and his daughter, Pamela. He is survived by his sons, Charles, Kurt and Russell, his son-in-law, Larry Hines, his granddaughter, Sarah Hines, his great-granddaughter, Nixie Hines, and his sister, Verna Shannon.
