Chad Elkins Ball

Chad Elkins Ball left this life on July 26, 2022, after a long illness. Chad grew up in Salt Lake City where he attended West High School (Class of 56).  He excelled in sports, earning All-State honors in football and went on to play quarterback at Utah State University.  He married his school sweetheart Dorothy Erickson in 1957.
Chad loved life and was always the life-of-the-party, his story telling was considered legendary. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and golfing with friends and family, ever trying to master the game of golf until his passing. He loved to make every game a competition!
He is survived by his son Brad (Teri), daughter Christene, 6 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Jean Erickson Ball, and son Robert. A service honoring Chad will be held Monday, August 1, 2022, at 5:00 PM with a viewing prior from 3:30 – 5:00 PM at the Redwood Memorial Mortuary 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123.
 
He will be missed greatly.
