Catharina Vanderwerf

Catharina Vanderwerf passed away June 9, 2014 at age 86. She was born on October 16, 1927 in Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands to Arie van Vliet and Catharina Visser. She married Anton Vanderwerf, her childhood sweetheart on February 25, 1947. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple January 22, 1965.
She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the Lord.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Cathy Compton (Chuck), Mirza Smith (Henry), Marilyn Clark (Steve), 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister Marie Capson (Robert). Preceded in death by husband and 8 sisters and 1 brother.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive. Viewings will be held Friday evening from 6:30-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the same location.
