Carolynne Ruth Cecil Berrett

Obituary for Carolynne Ruth Cecil Berrett, Age 80. Passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on April 5, 2022. She was born on September 26, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Raymond John Cecil and Ruth Vivian Lowe Cecil. She married Bernell Walker Berrett on January 25, 1968.
List of hobbies/accomplishments, Carolynne has a fun, spunky, adventurous spirit. She loves all kinds of music ranging from Andrea Boccelli to Elvis. She is a huge NASCAR fan and has a wild crush on John Gotti. She spent much of her spare time doing genealogy and making photo albums of her family. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Bringham Young University and worked as a nurse for nearly 40 years in all areas. She served in the LDS church as relief society president, ward nurse and many other callings. She loves keeping up with the Royal Family, traveling, family gatherings, romance movies and thunderstorms. She always has to have the next “fun” thing planned before the last one ends to ensure there is always something to look forward to. We love her deeply and we will continue to live by her shining example.
She is survived by members of her beloved family including; her husband, Bernell Berrett; her sisters, Ann Sarris, and Kathleen Smith; her brother, Steve Cecil; her children, Kim (Don) Cook, Todd (Lisa) Berrett, Mark (Leslie) Berrett (Divorced). Melody “Becky” Wilson (Kevin Taft), Ken Berrett, Heidi (Ryan) Giles, as well as 26 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Ray and Ruth Cecil and her beloved grandson, Andy Cook.
A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 6–8 PM at Memorial Murray Mortuary located at 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah 84121. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 11 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, located at 6300 South 700 West. A public viewing will take place prior to the service at 10 AM. Interment will be held at memorial Mountain View Cemetery. 3115 Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121
