Carolyn Dale

On June 1, 2014, at noon, the best mother, wife, and grandma in the world passed away. We were hoping this day would never come and now that it has we are not quite sure what we will do. Carolyn May Dale began this world on July 18, 1941 as Carolyn May Larsen. She had 72 years to make this world a better place – and boy did she! She married the man of her dreams, Danny Dale. Married for almost 55 years – they were inseparable. They built a life together that will stretch beyond the reaches of this earth. Dad tells everyone “She was the most beautiful girl in the school – and – she is still the most beautiful girl.” He couldn’t be more right. Mom, we will miss so many things about you: Your laugh, your Caribbean blue eyes (if you have ever seen the Caribbean you know the depth of that beauty), your quick sense of humor, your ability to know everything from how to crochet an afghan to how to remove a splinter with as few tears as possible. We will miss our morning phone calls, our birthday songs, how you made each one of us look at the lion inside. We will miss making peanut butter cookies with you. We will miss margaritas on the patio while listening to Patsy Cline and Jimmy Buffett. You were always there for us. Always. We promise to make the world a better place, just like you taught us. We will see your face in the stars, we will hear your voice on the wind, we will feel your love for it will be carried to us on sunbeams. Even though you always told us, “I love you more”, we love you more. You are loved beyond measure. Funeral Services for this beautiful lady will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, 2 pm, at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Ut. Viewing one hour prior to the service.
