Carol Louise Smith

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 29th. She was born in Salt Lake City on January 24th, 1960 to Grace and Richard Anderson.  She graduated from West High School and was later married to her eternal companion, Dale, on February 9, 1979 in the SLC Temple. Together they raised 5 wonderful children and spent most of their time as a family camping and fishing.
Throughout her life, Carol worked in various cafeterias where she shared her bubbly personality with the public. She very much enjoyed being around people, bowling, painting, dancing and going to Wendover.
Carol loved shopping, beaches, jewelry, purses, and her sweet dog Porkie. Her laugh was outrageously contagious and could get an entire room laughing in an instant. Her go-to dance move was the robot that she would shamelessly perform at the drop of a hat whenever music would play. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dale, Siblings; Blaine (Diane), Mary Ellen, Children; Dan (Jamie), Karla, Ashley (Rob), Shawndell (Kris), Whittney (Bryan), 13 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, and 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Memorial Redwood, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan UT on December 6th at 11am. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 9am – 10:30am. There will be a viewing held Monday, December 5th from 6pm – 8pm also at Memorial Redwood.
