Carol Lynne Jarman Angle was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She was the oldest of eight children born to Mary Estelle (Whiting) Jarman and Marlin Joseph Jarman. Carol met her future sweetheart at a church dance and soon after married Max Marlan Angle on 7 May 1953 in the Mesa Arizona Temple.
Carol was a woman of many talents. Her beautiful soprano voice blessed many throughout her life, and whether singing at church or serving as a choir director, she took every opportunity to share her love of music. She also loved to play the piano and organ, which brought her and others great peace and joy.
Carol also developed a wonderful talent for sewing. She became an expert seamstress, sewing suits for men and women, dresses for Easter, high school proms and even wedding dresses, not to mention everyday school and play clothes. Her skills grew to include quilt making, knitting, crocheting, and even upholstery. Many have been given one of her beautiful works of art over the years.
Carol was also an avid gardener. While she kept large vegetable gardens and many fruit trees and bushes, she especially loved growing a large variety of flowers and roses. Many a morning was spent cutting the blooms to brighten her home.
Most importantly Carol was a valiant servant of Jesus Christ, loving Him with all her heart. She shared her testimony and love of gospel learning while serving in many church callings, including a mission to Hamburg, Germany with her husband Max. But most especially she taught her family of God’s love through her own loving example. She will be missed every day and was truly an angel on earth to all she met and mostly to her beautiful children.
Carol is survived by her five children (spouse): Diana Heath (Ted), Susan Welsh (Tom), Cheryl Lambert (Theron), Max Angle (Tara) and Julie Wood. She has 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
