Carol Dawn Korpela

Carol Dawn Korpela passed away at her home on May 9, 2019. She was born to John Lowell Johnson and Betty Jean Clark on October 26, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Jay Carrick in 1967 in Salt Lake City and they together had two sons, John and Jacob Carrick. She later married Jay Korpela in 1977 and had one son, Larry A. Korpela.
Carol loved horses, fast cars, and nice things. She also loved her four grandchildren more than anything.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Velma Korpela. She is survived by three sons, sister Vicky Westbrook, grandchildren Anthony Korpela, Jenessa Korpela, Jacobi Carrick, and Braycen Carrick.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at 1:00 pm with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 PM, all at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, 84123.
