Carol A. Sorrels

Carol A. Sorrels – loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother passed away March 27, 2018, in Salt Lake City at age 76.  She was born into a loving home to parents George and Evelyn Hopes, she has 5 brothers: Dick, Bob, Dennis, Larry, and Ken.

She was married to Alfred E. Sorrels on April 6, 1960.  Their love for each other is a pure example of unconditional love and devotion to each other and family. Carol worked hard throughout her life, teaching her children how to work hard and be responsible. She worked for 10 years at Highland Cove helping and loving those she took care of. Carol had a green thumb keeping her yard and garden in perfect condition. Carol had a funny personality she loved to teach her grandchildren how to be silly and have fun. Carol liked to crochet, camp, go to Wendover, car rides, conversations, special tv shows and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Al Sorrels, her children Steve (Karen), Bill (Carolyn), and Darlene (Dave Stephens). She has 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, brothers (Dick, Bob, Dennis), daughter (Joyce Sullivan) and grandson (Dustin Sorrels).

Services will be held on Friday, March 30th, 2018 at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 E Bengal Blvd., Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121, Viewing from 12:00 pm (Noon) – 1:45 pm with the Funeral following at 2:00 pm.
