Carmen Mann

October 3, 1922 — March 1, 2018

To our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother…
You said “YES” to life.
As we rejoice that you are back with Dad, Launi, Kelly, and all those whom you have loved and lost, we are feeling gratitude for your example of Faith, Love and Humor. We are asking ourselves how you taught us so well that family relationships are more important than any petty differences. We never heard you say that there was someone you couldn’t forgive (except yourself). We never questioned your testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for marrying a man who loved kids and had a wit to match your own. Thank you for family dinners, family nights, vacations, and all that you did to show us the joy of family life.  You have been our anchor.  We love you forever.
Carmen was born in Union, Oregon to Henry and Julia Orton Maxfield.  She married her high school sweetheart, Willard Call Mann in 1942. They raised seven children, served three missions together, and served as ordinance workers in the Jordan River Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard, daughter Launi (Ernie Sillito), son Kelly, and daughter-in-law Kristin (Dennis).  Her survivors include her 5 children– Dennis, Mikki (Jon Burton), Colleen (Bruce Tkoch), Jeanette (Brad Hixson), and Maureen England–28 grandchildren, 89 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
