In Loving Memory of Carmen A. Farr On August 24, 2016 we said goodbye to our loving mother, grandmother and friend. Carmen was Born August 14, 1946 to Alberto Perez and Sylvia Gallegos.
Carmen is survived by her daughter DeAnna, grandchildren Christian, Quincy, and Nevaeh, and her sister Rita. Carmen was an inspiration to anyone she met. In 1971, Carmen was injured in a fatal car accident leaving her paralyzed from the neck down. Her entire world changed. She was in a coma for several months and upon waking she was handed a new beginning, a life as a Quadriplegic. Although unfortunate circumstances took her to a new place she always had a positive attitude, constantly reminding others to have faith, stay positive, follow your dreams, and always be proud of who you are.
Prior to her accident she was licensed as a Psychiatric Technician by the State of Colorado. She loved to listen and help anyone who needed a shoulder to cry on. After her accident Carmen pursued another dream she took several Independent Study Courses in writing through the University Of Oklahoma.
Carmen loved gathering with friends and family, writing, jazz music, sports, and cooking shows.
