Calvin Trent Sweat

Calvin Trent Sweat, born July 29, 1957, passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2021. Calvin lived his life full of unconditional love for his family and countless friends. He was humble, kind, giving, witty, funny, wise and honest. As a lifelong student of history and an avid reader he was king at trivia, or any game. He told the best stories and always had a joke to lighten the mood. He loved Yankees baseball, Jeopardy and the Beatles. He made friends everywhere he went and so many people knew him as uncle Cal. His love was without condition and widespread.
Calvin is survived by his children, Shannon Sweat (Rick) Tangaro and Teena (Arturo) Robles; his grandchildren, Anthony, Joseph, Arturo Jr (Hailey), Xaria and Tylan; his great grandchildren, Jayden and Zamari; his siblings, Steve (Linda), Vaughn (Linda), Vern (Jackie), Chloe (Doyle), Dennis (Debra), Shauna, Hope, Curtis (Lupe); his “brother” Stonee (Jackie); and so many loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Burnell and Rhea Burton Sweat; his brothers, Karl & Richard Sweat, Randy Farnsworth, and Tom Freeman; as well as extended family members.
Our daddy, (great) grandpa, brother, uncle and friend, you are forever in our hearts. Thank you for all the memories! You will be missed always. Rest in love and peace.
A celebration of life and will be held at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary and Cemetery (10055 S State St in Sandy) on Saturday, December 11th at 4:00 pm. Services will also be Live-Streamed vis Zoom
Cal would want to see everyone in their New York Yankees best and dressed comfortably. If you so wish, please come ready to share your favorite story on his behalf.
