Calvin Lamont Healey, husband, father, brother, son, and friend, passed away on May 9, 2024, in American Fork, Utah. Born on June 12, 1961, in Murray, Utah.
Calvin proudly served in the United States Army as a combat engineer, showcasing his dedication to his country. After his military service, he pursued a career as a truck driver, excelling at heavy hauling. Prior to that, he dedicated many years as a maintenance supervisor at Village II Condominiums.
Known for his bright blue mischievous eyes, Calvin worked hard, played harder, and was described by many as the life of the party. He loved classic rock and roll music, old country tunes, riding motorcycles and playing pool. He loved to spend time in the great outdoors and enjoyed fishing, skiing, camping, and other activities.
One of Calvin's greatest joys in life was spending time with his family and friends. He cherished every moment he shared with his loved ones and always made sure to create lasting memories with them.
Calvin is survived by his spouse Valerie Healey; brothers Dale Healey (Melinda), Troy Healey (Linda), Cory Healey (Rosario); father Paul Healey (Nora); daughters Nisha, Brittni, and Kayla; step-siblings Michael St. James, Michelle Bray (Curtis), Marsha Lewis (Dave), Marina Crowther (Husk); along with numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Cisneros, and step-brother Mark Pochurek.
Services to honor and celebrate Calvin's life will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery; 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will take place at 10:00 AM followed by a graveside service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Sandstone Care Center in American Fork--especially Smoak, Malissa, and hospice nurse Roy--for their round-the-clock dedication to caring for Calvin during his time with them. His last years were made considerably more comfortable because of their genuine love and kindness for him.
