Burley Gee Glasscock

August 2, 1940 — October 22, 2020

On October 22, 2020, Burley Gee Glasscock gave his final middle finger to death and decided to get some eternal rest. Burley was born on August 2, 1940 in Amarillo, Texas to Clarence Gee Glasscock and Rose Estella Karber. He married Bonnie Davine Fowler on April 17, 1965. He was funny as hell, mildly inappropriate, could swear like a sailor when the time was right, loved life, and didn’t complain about the tough times, and was even grateful. He always joked he’d lived a thousand years. To hear his stories about harvesting wheat at 14 years old a thousand miles from home, rough times in the Air Force in Vietnam, drilling for oil in the North Sea in 100 foot waves, to his 30 day Alaska motorcycle trip – we sometimes wondered if he did live a thousand years. His life was amazing and he lived to his fullest.
Burley is survived by his wife, Davine, 4 children, Tia Kennedy, Grant Glasscock, Marga Glasscock, and Lindsey Kerstiens, 5 grandchildren, Jimmy, Suzee, Eva, Annika, and Laken, 3 sisters, Ruth Ann Curry, Vonita Hinton and Fayma Frye, Brother, Philip Taylor, 2 nieces, Melanie and Brenda Hinton, brother-in-law, David Fowler, and so many friends.
He is preceded in death by Clarence Glasscock, Rose Estella Frailey, Gee Taylor, Sandy Willett, and Jerry Hinton.
A friends and family gathering for Burley will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 1:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
