Bryan Gordon LeFevre, loving husband, father and grandfather, age 64, passed away unexpectedly, June 17, 2022. He was born November 12, 1957 to Gordon Otho LeFevre and Wilma LeFevre Potts in Salt Lake City, Utah. He and his father often would go out hunting rabbits in the fields of Sandy where he later lived. He graduated from Cyprus High School in 1976, where he enjoyed playing trombone and running track.
Shortly after graduation, Bryan served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Johannesburg, South Africa from 1976-1978. He served all around South Africa, and it was one of his fondest experiences in life. On his return flight from South Africa, he was able to explore Jerusalem, and mentioned it as a highlight. Later in life, he served in many callings including Scouting, Sunday School, and Primary.
A few years after returning from his mission he met his sweetheart, Diane Dimond LeFevre at a dance; they were married on August 28, 1980 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they bought a house in Sandy and later moved to Draper.
Bryan worked for many years for Reid’s Concrete Service, and later in the Smelter area for Rio Tinto where he worked in many different capacities, from tapping copper, to driving forklifts, water trucks and loaders.
Bryan was very musical, and loved to sit down and play the piano. He was an avid golfer, you could often find him out golfing with his family, friends and work buddies all over the valley. He enjoyed bowling, camping and fishing as well. At the annual Dimond Family Bear Lake Trip, he often was one of the first out getting a swim in the cold water before breakfast. He always rooted for the Utah Jazz, and enjoyed cheering for them with his spouse and children.
Bryan is survived by his wife, Diane Dimond LeFevre; his children, Sheila (Brad) Porter, Jill (Benjamin) Sundberg, Bryan James, BJ, (Lisa) LeFevre, Lori (Steve) Hadley, Dyson (Savannah) LeFevre, and 11 grandchildren, and 1 additional coming in September.
