Bruce Burns Millett of Roosevelt passed away Friday January 23, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 77, as a result of complications from a burn injury.
Bruce was born May 15, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Donald Adams Millett and Norma Burns Millett. Bruce was married to Connie Jo Coon January 23, 1956. They had five sons. Bruce and Connie later divorced. Bruce then married Coween Bosh March 24, 1976.
Bruce was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He worked as a sheriff’s deputy for Salt Lake County for twenty four years. Bruce was always anxious to lend a hand or anything else he had to anyone in need. He loved living away from the big city and having some space to putter around with his various hobbies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, making things with his hands and collecting things.
Bruce is survived by his wife Coween, 4 sons Jim (Brenda) Garland of West Valley, Mark (Kim) Millett of Brigham City, Marty (Fonda) Millett of Roosevelt, Bret Millett of Salina, 2 daughters Jodi (Karl) Braithwaite of Taylorsville, Lisa (John) Bair of Provo, 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 sisters Gail (Kay) Curtis of Annabella, Fay Williamson of Herriman & Laurel (Mike) Hansen of Murray and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Norma, two sisters Marilyn Mcmanigle and Carole Millett and one son Bruce C Millett.
Services for Bruce will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 East Bengal Blvd. (7800 S), in Cottonwood Heights. There will be a viewing from 12:30 to 1:45 with service to follow at 2. Interment to follow at the same address.
