Brian Short

Our beloved Brian – husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend left this life early for his new journey.
Brian lived with zest for life. He loved witty conversation, traveling, reading books and hearing people laugh. He was proud of his book club for being the most diverse in members and books. One of Brian’s greatest achievements was finding love early in life, his loving husband, Alex. They traveled the world and enjoyed many places, always sharing the memories with family and friends. Brian fully enjoyed each and every moment with the ones he loved. “I lived with no regrets and a lust for the search of happiness.” Brian found his dream job in advertising and thrived in his role at LOVE. He had a heart so big he left some advice for everyone still, use the fancy china, light the nice candles, wear the expensive shoes out, splurge on fluffy bath towels. Indulge in small luxuries. Live life to the fullest and make every moment count.
Brian is survived by his husband Alex, their son Kaz, father Larry Short (Jackie Nageli), sister Erin Nygard (Alan Nygard), brother Kevin Short (Kitty Short) numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
A viewing will be held from 6:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Memorial Redwood Mortuary (6500 South Redwood Road). In celebration of Brian’s life, friends and family will gather Friday, February 2, 2018 from 6:30-11:00 PM at the The Falls Event Center (580 South 600 East, Trolley Square).
