Our husband, son, brother and “Heavy D”, Brett, age 39, passed away suddenly on February 2, 2014. Brett was born on July 2, 1974, in Salt Lake City, UT to Kit and Colleen Shelley Robinson and raised in Kearns, UT.
Brett was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and camp. Growing up, he enjoyed working on cars and he eventually turned that hobby into a career, working at Salt Lake Valley Buick/GMC. On July 23, 2005 he married his best friend and soulmate, Rebecca White. He attended UTI in Phoenix, AZ where he received his associate degree. He went on to become ASE Certified through his employer.
Survived by his wife, Rebecca; parents, Kit and Colleen; siblings, Ryan (Christine), Randy, Kathy (Bryan) Rust and Brenda Robinson; Rebecca’s parents, Byron and Kerry White; Rebecca’s siblings, Stacie (Paul) Young, Rex White, and Matthew (Cristelle) White; 17 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Grant (Arlene) Robinson and Elmer (Rega) Shelley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Western Hills 2nd Ward, 5380 West 5400 South, Kearns with a viewing one hour prior at the church. Interment to follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan. Online condolences at www.redwoodmortuary.com.
