Brent Donald Young

Brent Donald Young, adored father, brother, uncle, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend passed away on February 11, 2017 at home. Born on January 9, 1945 to Frank Hulse and Elizabeth Mabel Shanholtzer Young (both deceased). He was married to Beverly xxx Jeffs (divorced) and Marilyn Tattersall Orton Young (deceased). Preceded in death by his siblings Myrna Frances Young, Larry Frank Young, Carol Sue (David) Veater, Step-son-in-law Billie L. Williams, nephew Clinton D. Young, granddaughter Erica Maxine Powell, and great-grandson Kaden Christopher Hooper.
He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged disabled.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters Terry James (Glenda) Young, Jerry Thomas (Sharon) Young, Beva Lynn (Dennis) Nielsen, and Raymond (Vickie) Young, children and step-children, Brenda Sue Young McCurdy, Zachary Nolan (Staci) Young, Julie Orton (Dwayne) Van, Paula Orton (Bill, deceased) Williams, and Dayna Orton Powell. He had 7 brothers and sisters, 2 children, 3 step-children, 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved and enjoyed with all his heart. A visitation will be held at Redwood Memorial Mortuary: 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan on Monday February 20, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm and Tuesday February 21, 2017 at noon with services starting at 1:00pm.
